RIP Sam Simon, co-creator of the Simpsons

Here is your SXSW 2015 Keynote speaker....

Rest In Peace to Biggie. Above, listen to One More Chance released May 9th 1995.

Here's a song by Big L titled 'MVP'. This was on his debut record Lifestylez Ov Da Poor and Dangerous, which hit stores March 28th 1995.

Nas, arguably Hip Hop's greatest living MC, talks Big L with Funkmaster Flex on Hot 97. Flex actually points out that Diddy jacked his whole MVP vibe. The way they speak about how Hip Hop used to be in NYC just brings me way back.

Back in the early 90s, DJ Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia used to have a 5 hour show without commercials on 88.9 FM WKCR overnights. The idea was rappers can get their demo played for the first time, even come up to drop a verse or two after performing a show somewhere in the city. Big L became a regular and always brought up his friends from Harlem to shine. Ma$e and Cam'ron can be heard in the above freestyle.

The most famous of those times when Big L brought up and coming rapper Jay Z and the duo burned the place down.

Broad City!!!
